Please comment on Diamonds In The Rough!As you might have noticed, I've posted three chapters of the story I'm writing titled "Diamonds in the Rough". I haven't gotten any comments at all and I could really use them. Since it is the first book I'm attempting to write, it's important to me that I get some constructive criticism and support to know how to improve. Diamonds in the Rough, chpt. 3As my alarm went off this morning, I groaned in agony when I saw the sun shining through my window. The morning is always the worst part of the day- because that means there's another day I have to survive through. Since Annie sleeps in the same room as me, I walked over to shake her awake. On the bright side however, she always looks so serene when she sleeps. For those eight hours or so, she can finally let go and feel relaxed. As I tried to shake her awake, she would just turn away so she wouldn't have to acknowledge me. This is a very common and annoying problem.Diamonds in the Rough, chpt. 3

When people tell me they hate that their life is normal, all I can do is laugh. All I’ve ever wanted was for my life to be normal. To have parents that care. To sit at a dinner table with my parents and feel that sense of security. And above all, to have a moment where I didn’t live in fear.
